Monday's Lesson Plan
The Sun is actually a huge star. It is one of the biggest stars in our Solar System. The Sun is in the middle of our Solar System, and the nine planets all rotate around it. The Sun is responsible for lighting and warming the Earth. Without the Sun, the Earth would be a dark, cold place to live. In fact, we could not live at all because there would be no plants, food, natural energy, animals.
The Terrestrial Planets are the four innermost planets in our solar system. These four planets are named Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars. Mercury is the planet closest to the sun. Then Venus, Earth, and Mars.

Tuesday's Lesson Plan
The sixties were a time of contrasts. The Soviet Union and the United States of America were engaged in a race to space. The US committed to sending a man to the moon and returning him safely to Earth before the end of the decade. On the ground, a rebellion was underway among the teenagers and young adults who were not interested in living according to established expectations.

Wednesday's Lesson Plan
Many of the things that we use today originated in the 1960's. This decade had a significant impact on the way we live today. During the sixties women went back to work and became adamant about equal rights along with other minority groups. Visionary thinkers like John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. tried to change the way America saw people. The sixties were a tumultuous time.
Thursday's Lesson Plan
The sixties saw a new interest in the happenings in other places. With events like the British Invasion, space exploration, and the Vietnam War, people, young adults in particular, became much more aware of world events. With the rise of technological ability, these events could be seen on the color television in the living room. This brought a new awareness to people within America and around the world.
Friday's Lesson Plan
