Welcome Back to the Little City Kids Parent Network!
What is the Parent Network, you ask? Well, it is a very important part of Little City Kids, a facet of our program that makes us more than just a day care center, that helps define what an Educational Play Care Center is. Little City Kids is a place where teachers are guides to a world of possibilties. A world that believes in the goodness of people, in the value of knowledge, in the security of community, and the importance of dreams, big and small. Our Parent Network is our way of strengthening and empowering our community.
Over the years, the Parent Network has done many good works. When the Network was first created, its focus was to involve the parents in projects that helped to improve the school and increase enrollment. When the recession hit, the Network helped to support many of our parents who lost their jobs or struggled financially, especially over the holidays. The Network has run fundraisers to help support the Unemployment Abatement Program and to buy new equipment for our playground.

In August of 2004, Ms. Vikki Volkert took over our Parent Network, and eagerly set to work reinvigorating and re-energize this critical program. Her goal is to refocus the program, stressing the community building asspects of the program. She wants to get all of the parents involved, even while recognizing that some parents have more time and energy to devote to our cause than others. There are many ways to participate in the Little City Kids Parent Network -- all of which will help to make your child's experience at Little City Kids richer and more rewarding. And now, Ms. Vikki is planning to make it all a heck of a lot more fun!
So please fill out the Parent Network Sign Up Sheet, either on-line or directly with Ms. Vikki. Once you do, you will be entered into the Parent Network directory. You will be able to start earning credits toward great thank you gifts, and find ways to connect with this community in new and exciting ways.
