Welcome to the Little City Kids Foundation
Little City Kids is dedicated to the development of high quality early childhood education that embraces a global view through hands-on learning. The Little City Kids Foundation has been created to help all early childhood professionals better the quality of care and education that they can provide to our children, by providing a comprehensive compilation of resources that are not widely available to the public.

We created the Little City Kids Foundation, a not-for-profit organization, to providing free and low cost resources to anyone with an interest in quality early childhood education. These resources are not just hand-wavey suggestions of how to provide high "quality" day care. These resources are Little City Kids specific poiicies, practices, training materials and curriculum, all of which were developed by a team of professionals including educators, child development experts, business development experts, legal advisors, as well as artists, engineers, and designers. Under most circumstances, this valuable information would be kept highly confidential, and access to such "secrets" would be extremely expensive.

Unfortunately, the people who most need access to this information rarely have the money to purchase such resources. Ultimately, our children suffer.

We are inviting educators from all walks of life to use our systems, our materials, our policies, to create wonderful, hands-on learning environments for the children that they serve. We encourage you to use our policies, our curriculum, our training programs as your own. And while all of this material remains under Little City Kids copyright and trademark, you are invited to use our documents, but we request that Little City Kids is credited with any materials that you use from us.

It is our goal to make the name and logo of Little City Kids synonymous with hands-on exploratory early childhood education, and we would like people to know that if they bring their children to a school that puts the Little City Kids logo in their window, or uses our Perspective in their classroom, or uses Little City Kids child management techniques, that their children will be well cared for,

Our goal is to provide a means by which the world can make these precious early years of a child's life the most meaningful time of learning in their lives. This is obviously just a drop in the bucket of what needs to be done, but it is a start. And a statement… that our children are worth it.

Little City Kids Foundation is looking for a few good educators, folks who are interested in sharing their knowledge and experience in early childhood education, with other people in the community. We are looking for people who would be interested in writing articles for a newsletter and the website, as well as people who would like to become actively involved in developing the training materials and the lesson plans that already exist on this site. THIS IS A VOLUNTEER POSITION -- we do not yet have the funds to pay a staff member to do this.
